Yes, we offer both options to suit your preferences and performance needs.
- Double Glazed: A 6mm laminated glass sheet is added on the inside of the stained glass panel. This provides extra security, protects the lead and coloured glass, and improves thermal insulation, all while keeping the traditional look intact.
- Triple Glazed: The stained glass is sandwiched between toughened glass on the outside and laminated glass on the inside. Toughened glass protects the panel from impacts, while laminated glass adds internal security and long-term durability. This combination also enhances insulation and ensures the stained glass remains safe and beautiful for decades. This option is only possible on doors 50mm or thicker.
Yes, absolutely. During the design phase, we’ll share a structural diagram of your door and frame for you to review. After that, if you opt for stained glass you’ll receive scaled illustrations of your stained glass panel, along with a selection of glass swatches chosen by our designer.
You’ll have unlimited revisions at both stages, so we can adjust the designs and explore different glass options until you’re completely happy. Production won’t begin until everything has been fully approved and signed off.
Yes. All our stained glass panels are crafted using traditional techniques. Each design is hand-assembled using individual pieces of coloured glass, carefully cut to shape, and joined with real lead came (a soft, malleable metal that holds the glass in place). The joints are then soldered, and the panel is cemented to add strength and weatherproofing.
This is the same method that has been used for centuries in church windows and period homes, giving each panel its authentic character and lasting quality. Unlike printed or imitation glass, our stained glass has real depth, colour variation, and craftsmanship that you can see and feel.
Your new front door will arrive primed in white ready for you to install and decorate. It will be securely packed in a sturdy wooden crate to ensure it stays protected during transit from our workshop to your home.
